Yes, yes - it's really a PICTURE of started Jaywalker
s – Yay ME. Okay, so I started these this sock on January 10 when I was helping my friend Cheryl birth Sugar’s puppies and yet it looks barely like a sock. I have no real excuses – I am a less than one year knitter (okay I have about 6 more weeks to get away with saying that) BUT I do love the pattern and I’m finally getting the hang of the slip 2/knit 1/pass slipped stitches over. For some reason I started out having trouble with that BUT I’m still going to be diligent about getting them finished by the deadline. The yarn is a little busy but I actually like the way the pattern "chevrons".
It is hard not to run by Cheryl’s because it’s right on the way home to see puppies (in fact I went yesterday – their eyes are open and they’re getting more mobile). Plan is to REALLY take pictures this weekend and get them posted for all the world to see. THEY are so precious and I have made the decision to claim one of the 2 little girls as my own. Right now we’re leaning towards calling her Lucy – which means “light”. Molly and Sadie are 9 and 8 and Sadie really does still have a lot of puppy in her. The puppy will stay in the den and have access to the doggy door with Sadie when we’re not home and Queen Molly will be esconced in the Living Room where she generally reigns anyway.
I’m also including a picture here of my collage of the beach I finished just before Christmas. I love to go to the beach and I get Coastal Living magazine just ‘cause I love the beach. They were starting to pile up and my sister gave me a quilting book with beach quilts in it that she ended up not using for my beach quilt she made me. It is to be hung over the bed this weekend – PICTURE TIME again!! I used one of the quilt patterns from the book and cut up about 12 of my old Coastal Living mags to make the collage. I’m quite happy with how it came out.
That’s all for today – I just so damn proud of myself for getting my Jaywalker picture up that I just about can’t stand it!!
